On November 12, the Embassy in the United States issued a notice stating that in order to further improve the prevention and control of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic and implement the latest domestic prevention and control requirements, from the date of the notice, passengers departing from the United States to China are requested to apply to the United States according to the following requirements. The embassy and consulate apply for a health code:

1. testing requirements

Passengers on direct flights from the United States to China must complete a nucleic acid test within 48 hours before boarding, and apply for a health code with the negative test certificate.

For example, if the date of your direct flight from the United States to China is December 10, nucleic acid testing can be completed on any day on December 8, 9 and 10, but it is recommended to reserve enough time to apply for a health code.

Nucleic acid testing certificates issued by legal testing agencies in the United States are acceptable. Testing institutions should have CLIA qualification (CLIA qualification can pass the https://www.cdc.gov/clia/LabSearch.html查询).

The test report shall contain specific information such as personal name, date of birth, time of collection, time of report issuance, contact information of the testing organization, etc.

Materials required for (I)

2. Flight ticket or itinerary to China;

3. On the front page of a valid passport or travel permit, foreign citizens must also hold a valid visa or residence permit to China.

3. Please select the corresponding embassy or consulate in the United States to apply for a health code according to the consular area where the nucleic acid testing institution is located.

3. transit passengers

Passengers who transfer from the United States to a third country (region) or from a third country (region) to transfer from the United States to China can complete nucleic acid testing and apply for a health code as required at any place of transit or origin according to their own itinerary. Transconnecting passengers only need to ensure that the health code is still valid when boarding at the last transit place (I. e. when taking the flight to China).

5. other precautions

(I), passengers going to China are requested to strictly abide by the above requirements. If the audit cannot be passed, flight delay, detention, repatriation, etc. due to personal information errors, incomplete materials, untimely submission, etc., the applicant shall bear the corresponding consequences. In the event of material fraud, the applicant will not be able to obtain the health code and will be held liable.

The working hours for (II) embassies and consulates in the United States to examine the health code are 9:00-21:00 every day (including holidays). Please submit the application as soon as possible after the materials are ready. The examination results can be inquired online. The Chinese Embassy and Consulate in the United States will do its best to speed up the review. Please wait patiently and do not need to call frequently.
