Guidelines for Application for Health Codes of Embassy and Consulate in Nigeria (updated on November 14, 2022)

According to the latest domestic prevention and control requirements, from now on, the embassy in Nigeria and the consulate general in Lagos will optimize and adjust the requirements for applying for health codes for personnel going to China as follows:

1. on the scope of acceptance of health code applications

1. Direct flights to China

Direct flights from Nigeria to China only need to complete a nucleic acid test within 48 hours before boarding. If the nucleic acid test result is negative, you can apply for a health code from the Embassy in Nigeria and the Consulate General in Lagos.

2. Transfer to China

(1) People going to China are free to choose the route to China and cancel the limit on the number of transfers.

(2) Personnel going to China can conduct nucleic acid detection and apply for health codes at any place of origin and transit. If the detection and code application have been performed at the origin, there is no need to detect and code again at the transit point.

(3) Personnel going to China must ensure that the nucleic acid testing time is within 48 hours before boarding the flight entering China. If the health code will exceed 48 hours when checking in for flights entering China at the transit place, nucleic acid testing and code application will still be required within 48 hours before boarding at the transit place.

2. About Testing Institutions

Nucleic acid testing certificates issued by legal testing agencies recognized by the Nigerian government are acceptable.

3. about people with a history of infection, etc.

The additional requirements for health code application for personnel with previous infection history, close contact, suspected symptoms, uncertain test results, etc. will be canceled. The above-mentioned personnel can apply for codes with a negative nucleic acid test within 48 hours before boarding a flight entering China.

4. Materials Required for Health Code Application

Those who apply for health codes to China must submit the following application materials to the embassy in Nigeria and the consulate general in Lagos through the WeChat applet of "International Edition of Epidemic Prevention Health Code" or the login https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5:

1. 1 nucleic acid test report;

2. Complete travel itinerary;

3. Certificate of residence in Nepal (residence permit, visa, etc.);

4. I display the photos of the passport information page;

5. Sampling on-site photos (the face of the sampled person should be clear);

6. Other supplementary materials.
