The Indonesian government has officially signed a decree on statutory holidays and joint leave arrangements for 2023. Released jointly by the Ministry of Religion, the Minister of Manpower and the Ministry of Human Development and Culture, the following is the list of holidays in 2023:

Sunday, January 22: Lunar New Year

Monday, January 23: Lunar New Year Joint Holiday

Saturday, February 18: Prophet's Night Day

Wednesday, March 22: Quiet Residence Day

Thursday, March 23: Quiet Residence Day Joint Holiday

Friday 7 April: Good Friday

Friday, April 21: Eid al-Fitr joint holiday

April 22-23: Eid al-Fitr

April 24-26: Eid al-Fitr joint holiday

Monday, May 1: Labor Day

Thursday, May 18: Ascension of Jesus Christ

Thursday, June 1: Five Foundation Day

Friday 2 June: Vesak Joint Holiday

Sunday, June 4: Vesak Day

Thursday 29 June: Eid al-Adha

Wednesday 19 July: Islamic New Year

Thursday 17 August: Independence Day

Thursday, September 28: The Prophet's Birthday

Monday 25 December: Christmas Day

Tuesday, December 26: Christmas joint holiday

In 2023, there will be 16 statutory holidays and 8 joint holidays, a total of 24 days. The longest holiday is Eid al-Fitr, which lasts for 6 days from April 21 to 26. If you count the double-break weekend, there will be 4 consecutive days from June 1 to 4 and December 23 to 26 respectively.
