The main changes to the new British entry rules into China include:

• Cancel transit nucleic acid

Passengers only need to perform a nucleic acid test within 48 hours before boarding the final entry flight, without a second test or a second code application.

• Cancel other prevention and control requirements for previous infection history and close contact

All passengers apply for health codes based on a negative nucleic acid test report within 48 hours before boarding according to the requirements of ordinary personnel.

• Simplify health code application data

Only the nucleic acid test report, ticket itinerary and passport information page need to be uploaded when applying, and other information is not required.

The following is the application process for health codes for British personnel going to China, as follows:

01. All personnel shall conduct a nucleic acid test within 48 hours before boarding the final entry flight and apply for a health code based on a negative report. Personnel going to China can choose a place of origin or transit to carry out nucleic acid detection within 48 hours before boarding the inbound flight. There is no need for secondary detection and secondary code application during transit. Relevant airlines check and release passengers with valid health codes, and no longer check the place where the codes are sent.

The simplification of this point is very important, which means that you don't have to stay at the transit airport for more than 12 hours, and you don't have to wait for 12 hours in apprehension (false positive possibility).

02. After obtaining the nucleic acid test report, Chinese citizens apply through the WeChat applet of "International Edition of Epidemic Prevention Health Code" and non-Chinese citizens apply through the webpage version of the Health Declaration (link attached). Only the nucleic acid test report, ticket itinerary and passport information page need to be uploaded when applying, and other information is not required.

03. Cancel other prevention and control requirements for people with previous infection history, suspected symptoms, close contacts, test results "uncertain", "gray area", etc. The above-mentioned personnel all apply for health codes based on a negative nucleic acid test report within 48 hours before boarding according to the requirements of ordinary personnel.

04. The embassies and consulates in Britain will arrange staff to check the health code from 9:00 to 19:00 every day (including holidays). It is recommended that passengers going to China complete the test as soon as possible on the premise of meeting the test time requirements, and submit a health code application as soon as possible after obtaining the report.
