According to Philippine media, on November 14, the Philippine Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing to introduce electronic visas to India after expanding the number of embassies in China that accept electronic visas to seven.

"In accordance with the Philippine President's policy directive on the implementation of the e-visa system, given the reciprocity of visa policies and the economic potential of India's tourism industry, the Ministry of foreign affairs is preparing to expand the e-visa business to the Indian market by the end of the year," said tresita daza, a spokesman for the Philippine Ministry of foreign affairs."

In August this year, the Philippine Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched the Philippine electronic visa system on a trial basis, starting with the Philippine Embassy in Shanghai.

Daza said the operation of the system has been extended to all seven Chinese embassies in China based on beta test parameters.

It is reported that from August 24 to November 6, the Philippine Embassy and Consulate in China issued a total of 1739 Philippine e-visas.
