中国人持假菲律宾签证被移民局逮捕

On February 6, local time, two foreign citizens of the Philippines were intercepted by immigration officials at Nino Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for holding suspicious travel documents and refused to leave the country.

According to a report submitted by the Border Control Investigation Team (BCIU), Zhang, a 30-year-old Chinese citizen, tried to take a Philippine Airlines flight to Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday, but was intercepted after immigration officers found that his passport had a forged Philippine visa.

upon examination, the authorities found that his name had previously been blacklisted by the immigration department for breaching conditions of stay.

In addition, immigration officials also discovered that his passport contained a suspicious Philippine visa, which was eventually proved to be forged by the forensic document laboratory.

Meanwhile, Malkeet Singh, a 42-year-old Indian citizen, arrived in the Philippines on a Singapore Scoot flight on Monday morning. He was later found to have a former Philippine entry stamp on his passport, but noticed that the features on the passport were incoherent.

According to the analysis of the forensic laboratory, it is finally proved that the seal is forged.

Immigration Commissioner Norman Tangsingco said: "We commend the enthusiasm of immigration officials to enable them to thwart the attempts of these people with a fluke mentality. We will ensure that they are deported and cannot be returned to the Philippines."

The two are currently detained at a detention facility of the Immigration Department of Dayi City pending deportation proceedings.
