Philippines 9G Work Visa and Licensing Process
9G is a work visa for Filipino foreigners to enter the Philippines for legal occupation. Generally, foreign nationals must demonstrate that their services are essential to the management, operation, administration or control of local or local companies. The company must apply for this visa for its employees. If the mandate is less than six months, an application for a special work permit may be submitted to the authorities. If the mandate period exceeds six months, the Aliens Employment Permit (AEP) shall be applied.
Primary work visa applications must be accompanied by an application for a Filipino Alien Employment Permit (AEP). It is not a travel document, but is issued by the Philippine Department of Labor and Employment.

Employment Permit for Foreigners in the Philippines (AEP)
The Alien Employment Permit (AEP) is a document issued by the Ministry of Labor and Employment that allows foreigners to work in the Philippines. This is usually applied in conjunction with a pre-arranged 9G work visa and is applicable to foreign nationals seeking work in the Philippines, foreign professionals who are allowed to practice their occupation in the Philippines, and special non-immigrant visas holding executive, advisory, supervisory or technical positions such as sirv,SRRV and treaty business visas 9d. An employee must apply by his or her company and must generally prove that no one in the Philippines is willing or competent for the position.
AEP is valid for one year, unless it is an employment contract, consulting services or other employment methods of election personnel can make it valid for a longer period. A residence permit for a foreign resident is valid for multiple employers as long as they report changes in their employment status and employer status to the DOLE regional office that issued the permit.
