VFS Global German Visa Center to Reopen Soon!

Recently, the German Embassy in China issued a notice: from 2023, the German visa center of VFS Global will be reopened one after another!

The following information is about submitting Schengen visa applications at VFS Global:

• Starting from December 5, 2022, applicants in the consulates of the Shanghai and Guangzhou consulates can make a new appointment online and go to the visa center of the German embassy service provider VFS Global to submit Schengen visa applications.

• From the beginning of January 2023, VFS Global's visa centers in Shanghai and Guangzhou will be reopened to the public.

• VFS Global Beijing Visa Center is expected to open the business of accepting visa applicants within the jurisdiction of the German Embassy (Beijing) in mid-February.

• The business of the other 12 visa centers in mainland China will be opened later.

* Note:

• Entry restrictions for travelers from China to Germany have not been completely lifted. Whether it is a special case that is not restricted by entry is not determined by the VFS Global Visa Center, but by the visa office of the embassy and consulate.

• Please submit all materials that can prove that you belong to special circumstances when submitting your visa application.

• It is still not possible to go to Germany for sightseeing. VFS Global Visa Center will not accept such visa applications.

• At the same time, applications cannot be submitted by mail at present and will be resumed gradually in the later period.
