The new attorney general named three institutions! Immigration Bureau | Corrections Bureau | Land Registration Bureau

The new Philippine Minister of Justice (DOJ) Jesus Crispin "Boying" Remulla said on Monday that he would investigate the alleged illegal transactions of the Land Registry (LRA), Immigration (BI) and Correctional Services (BJMP).

At his first flag-raising ceremony as attorney general, Remula named the three agencies as those that might need help from the Department of Justice.

He said: "A lawyer friend of mine told me the other day that there is a gang organization in the system of the Land Registry. The gang is allegedly related to all government departments."

At the same time, he said there were extortion, human trafficking and protection syndicates within the Immigration Department.
He said: "The sad thing about the Immigration Department is that it exercises sovereign power and is the face of the country. We Filipinos have a responsibility to protect our country."

At the same time, he said, activities allegedly having a negative impact on society continued within the Department of Corrections.

Remula then clarified that he was not talking about the entire institution, adding: "I am not talking about all the personnel of the above-mentioned institutions. For the Land Registration Bureau, I would say that about 95%-99% are all good, only 1% are so-called rat excrement."

As to why he was selected by Ma Kos to lead the Department of Justice, the official said: "President Ma Kos chose me, perhaps because he thought I could do things well. I accept the challenge, and throughout my political life, I have not shied away from any challenge.
