Philippines further simplifies entry requirements, record number of international tourists

The latest statistics from the Philippine National Tourism Department show that since the opening of entry into the Philippines on February 10, 2022, the number of international tourists has shown an increasing trend and reached a new high in May. As of May 25, 2022, the total number of international tourists entering the Philippines has exceeded 510,000.

At present, the Philippines is one of the countries with the simplest and most convenient entry procedures in Asia. From May 30, 2022, the Philippine government further relaxed the entry requirements and introduced the following three favorable policies:

(1) International tourists who have been vaccinated all the way into the Philippines only need to provide a certificate of vaccination of the new crown, no nucleic acid test results.

-Tourists aged 18 or above need to be vaccinated with new crown vaccine and booster injection throughout the whole process.

-Visitors between the ages of 12 and 17 need to be vaccinated against the new crown throughout the journey.

-Tourists under the age of 12 should travel with their parents or guardians who have been vaccinated with the new crown vaccine and booster needles.

(2) The restriction on the type of new crown vaccination certificate will be lifted, and any type of vaccination certificate will be accepted in all countries.

(3) Travel insurance and specific coverage are no longer necessary and sufficient conditions for entry, but we still encourage tourists to purchase travel insurance.

Long Beach Island, Cebu, Mint Island, Palawan and other popular island tourist destinations and related facilities are ready to welcome international tourists, and the staff of the tourism industry have also been vaccinated against the new crown. The Philippines is officially open to Chinese tourists who have been vaccinated throughout the process. Chinese tourists must obtain visas in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Philippine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and abide by the laws, regulations and relevant regulations of the Philippine Immigration Bureau.

Chinese tourists entering the Philippines must comply with the following regulations:

(1) Hold a passport valid for more than 6 months;

(2) Apply for and obtain a Philippine visa;

(3) Full vaccination of the new crown vaccine and booster needles;

(4) Provide a new crown vaccination certificate;

(5) Provide valid return air tickets within 30 days after arrival in the Philippines or valid air tickets to other destinations;

(6) Registered with the official platform of the Philippine Quarantine Bureau.
