Should a third party issue visas to the Chinese? Will investigate the Philippine travel agency and lawyers!

According to Philippine media, on November 20, Philippine Attorney General Jesus Crispin (Jesus Crispin Remulla) suggested that third-party service provider VFS Global should issue visas to Chinese citizens, rather than being handled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the report, remura made the above statement after conducting a raid on the offshore gaming operation center in the Philippines, in response to the case of illegally issuing so-called legal Philippine identity cards and other legal documents to Chinese citizens.

VFS Global is a company that provides outsourcing and technical services to governments and diplomatic missions worldwide. The company manages administrative and non-discretionary tasks related to the issuance of visas and passports for its client governments.

"Our government will again urge the president to prevent the Foreign Office from processing visas from China, and instead let VFS do the processing because VFS has the ability to check whether the data submitted by visa applicants is true," Remula said."

Rimula said service providers have more efficient ways to verify information submitted by visa applicants.

"When a third-party provider like VFS looks like they can easily verify this in China, our foreign ministry doesn't have the capacity," said Remula."

Remula stressed that other countries are using VFS.

"This method is being used all over the world, and it's the best way because issuing visas is a very clerical function," said Remula."

Remula also noted that lawyers and travel agencies engaged in visas for illegal purposes are being investigated.

"Those who should not have been granted a visa but obtained it in an illegal way, that's what I'm investigating now because we 've seen that lawyers and travel agencies have used many illegal ways to bring people here (in the Philippines)," said Remula."
