US Visa EVUS Processing Guide

Friends who get a U.S. visa will notice that there is a paragraph on the visa page that says to register for EVUS, so what is EVUS? The U.S. government stipulates that since November 2016, all Chinese passport holders holding 10-year B1,B2,B1/B2 visas are required to renew their EVUS registration before entering the United States.

1. Where EVUS enrollment is required

There are four situations where EVUS enrollment is required:

① Registration is required before entering the United States for the first time, valid for 2 years, and re-registration is required after expiration;

② If the passport is valid for less than 2 years, the EVUS validity period will expire 6 months before the passport validity period. After a new passport is issued, it is still necessary to re-register and the validity period is 2 years;

③ In any case where a U.S. visa is used (such as entering the Philippines without a U.S. visa), EVUS registration is required before traveling. If it has been registered within 2 years, there is no need to register again, and it can be printed and carried directly;

④ To go to Saipan, ordinary Chinese tourists are visa-free to go to Saipan, but for Chinese passport holders holding 10-year B1,B2,B1/B2 US visas, they must do EVUS registration in advance before entering the country;

2. Results that will appear after EVUS enrollment

The ENROLLED has been registered-on behalf of you can travel to the United States, but the customs has the right to make repatriation according to the situation;

② PENDING to be processed-your registration cannot be decided immediately, please wait patiently, the result will be given within 72 hours;

UNSUCCESSFULENROLLMENT registration failure-means you are temporarily not authorized to travel to the United States. It may be that the information filled in is incorrect, or it may be that the EVUS system is abnormal. Just wait 24 hours and then re-register;

The DEPARTMENTOFSTATE visa is revoked-too sad, which means not only the EVUS enrollment fails, but also your US visa is revoked.
