How to apply for a US visa

The United States does not grant visa exemption to China, and visas are required for travel, business, visiting relatives, visiting friends, studying abroad, and working in the United States. How exactly do I apply for a visa?

Application Process:

Step 1

For non-immigrant visa applicants: The type of visa that needs to be applied for is determined according to the purpose. Each type of visa is accompanied by the corresponding application conditions and application materials. According to your specific situation, choose the right visa type.

Step 2

The next step is to fill in the DS-160 form. It is important to note that after the form is submitted, no changes can be made. Applicants need to fill in carefully.

Step 3

Once the visa type is determined, the payment of the visa application fee is entered.

Step 4

Now you can start booking interview time!

Please log in to the profile page with the voucher used to pay the visa fee. After entering the system, you can see the control panel.

Click "Schedule an Interview" (Schedule Appointment) on the left-hand menu.

Step 5

Please come to the U.S. Embassy for an interview at the appointed time. Please visit the schedule interview page to find out what materials you need to bring with you during the interview.

Step 6

If the visa is approved, the passport will be sent to the designated place you chose at the time of the interview appointment.
