Can I change the mailing address of my passport after the U.S. visa is passed?

Some customers need to change their passport mailing address for various reasons after making an appointment with the US face-to-face visa. Can they change it? The following is a brief explanation for everyone.

After the face-to-face sign is passed, the mailing address cannot be changed! To change your passport mailing address, you must log in to your reservation account to change it before you sign in. If you have already reserved an interview time online, but want to change the document delivery address, you can log in to your account to change it. You can change it at any time before 23:59 on the day of your visit to the embassy/consulate. The face-to-face signature cannot be changed after it is passed. The embassy will send it back to you on time or to the designated CITIC Bank according to the passport delivery method you filled in at the time of face-to-face signature.

Once your application for a U.S. visa is approved, your passport and visa will be returned to you in one of two ways:

1, to your previous choice of CITIC Bank outlets.

Please note: CITIC Bank will only keep your passport information for 15 days. If you do not collect it after 15 days, it will be returned to the embassy or consulate. You must collect your passport information within 15 days. Please do not go to the CITIC Bank of your choice without being notified that you can get your passport. You can only pick up your passport at the branch of your choice.

Delivery to your home or office (paid service option).

This service does not include regions outside mainland China (such as Hong Kong and Macao). If the applicant's mailing address is outside mainland China, the passport will not be delivered. This service requires you to pay an additional shipping fee directly to EMS when you receive your passport.

To change delivery options:

You can change your preferred document delivery address online or through the appointment center before midnight of the interview. There is no fee for changing the address for service of documents. Applicants who are exempt from the visa can change the place of delivery of documents before sending the visa materials to CITIC Bank.
