According to Arab Business News (ArabianBusiness), the Saudi government has revealed a new temporary work visa that allows companies to issue temporary work visas for a period of three months, which can be extended for another three months. It is reported that the application platform is called Qiwa, and all qualified enterprises can apply for temporary work visa online through the following ways:

1. Log in to the enterprise account

2. Select the temporary work visa service (Temporary work visa service) from the electronic service (e-services);

3. Click to submit a temporary work visa application (Submit temporary work visa request);

4. Fill in all information.

It is worth noting that the visa request must be submitted by the business owner or the Qiwa business commissioner. After the application is submitted, the online work visa will be issued immediately through the Qiwa platform and no documents are required.

In addition, the business must be active and hold a valid business registration (except for activities that do not require a business registration). Corporate Nitaqat must also be at a medium green level.

Businesses under the same Uniform Number must not hold any expired work permits and must have sufficient credit in the National Uniform Number of Businesses on Absher.

According to the report, such visas may be refused for the following reasons: insufficient balance in the Absher account or refusal from the Ministry of the Interior.

Issued visas can be canceled and the fees charged by the government will be refunded to your business in accordance with the terms and conditions of service. For a refund, the application must be submitted by the business owner or the Qiwa business specialist.
