2. direct transit

24-hour visa-free transit: foreigners who hold joint passenger tickets for international voyages from China to a third country or region and stay in China for no more than 24 hours without leaving the port may be exempted from visa; foreigners who hold joint passenger tickets for visa-free transit and need to leave the port for a stay of no more than 24 hours shall apply to the entry-exit border inspection authorities for temporary entry permits.

72-hour visa-free transit: 11 air ports in Guangzhou, Guilin, Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Xi'an, Xiamen, Wuhan, Harbin, Qingdao, Changsha and other cities implement a 72-hour visa-free transit policy for personnel from 53 countries. Persons applying for 72-hour visa-free transit shall hold a valid passport or other international travel documents and a joint ticket to a third country (region) with a fixed date and seat within 72 hours.

3. holders of valid residence permits for foreigners issued by Chinese public security organs

During the validity period of the residence permit, foreigners can stay in China and enter and leave China multiple times without the need to apply for a separate visa.

4. holders of valid the People's Republic of China alien permanent residence permit

5. valid APEC Business Travel Card holders

The APEC business travel card is equivalent to a five-year multiple visa. The cardholder can enter China multiple times within the validity period of the travel card with the travel card and a valid passport consistent with the card, and each stay is 60 days.

APEC virtual card holders can enter the country visa-free from May 1, 2023.

6. to Pearl River Delta, Hainan Island, Guilin

3. Guilin: 10 national tour groups (2 or more) from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Brunei and the Philippines are organized and received by travel agencies approved by the tourism authority of Guilin City, Guangxi Province. The whole group enters and leaves the country at Guilin Airport Port, and can stay in the administrative area of Guilin City for no more than 6 days without a visa.
