Philippine Embassy and Consulate in Xiamen to Take the Lead in Resuming Philippine Outbound Team Visa

On the morning of April 18, the 2023 "homecoming trip" Xiamen tourism (Southeast Asia) promotion series of activities officially set off. The promotion group composed of the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism took the Xiamen Airlines' "Overseas Chinese Approval" theme flight to Southeast Asian countries along the "Belt and Road" such as Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines to carry out a 10-day tourism promotion, cultural exchange and cultural tourism investment promotion activity. This is also the first group in Fujian Province to go to many overseas countries to carry out cultural and tourism exchanges in the past three years of the epidemic.

At 7:30 in the morning, the members of the promotion team arrived at Gaoqi International Airport, ready to take Xiamen Airlines flight MF851 to Singapore, starting a 10-day promotion tour. With the theme of "Homecoming Tour", this promotion will interpret the cultural and emotional links between Xiamen and the countries along the Silk Road, promote the "2023 Happy Xiamen Tour" series of tourism products, and show Xiamen's cultural tourism resources and investment potential.

Peng Jun, Director of the Foreign Cooperation Department of the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism: In this Southeast Asia tour promotion activity, we have brought the excellent Taiwanese opera "Overseas Chinese Batch" overseas in various forms such as theme flights and film displays. This work tells the story of overseas Chinese starting a business in Southeast Asia, which will certainly resonate with many overseas Chinese. We believe that through Xiamen attracting customers abroad, we will certainly be able to bring a lot of traffic to the surrounding areas and more key source markets, and realize the mutual delivery of customers.

In order to further promote the recovery of the inbound and outbound tourism market, Xiamen took the lead in restoring the Philippine outbound travel team visa. On the 16th, the province's first Philippine group signed a tour from Xiamen.

After the opening of the group visa, the visa procedure is greatly reduced, and the visa can be issued within about 10-12 working days after the materials are submitted. At present, Xiamen has a daily flight to Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
