Philippine passports, visas, Hague authentication and legal document authentication will be transformed into digital!

On April 17, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs, Enrique Manalo, and the Department of Information and Communication Technology, Ivan John Uy, signed and exchanged a memorandum of understanding.

The document formalizes the synergy between the two departments in the digitization of consular services, such as the processing of Philippine passports, visas and Hague certification or the certification of legal documents.

The MOU aims to facilitate and ensure the integration, interoperability and interconnection of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Department of Information and Communication Technology systems by ensuring that all applicants are "synchronized and coordinated.

Manalo added that this is in line with President Marcos's directive to fast-track the government's digital transformation to serve the public.
