On February 2 this year, the Airport Authority of Hong Kong, China announced that the "Flying to the World Award" ticket gift plan was officially launched on March 1, sending 500000 free round-trip tickets to passengers in major passenger transport markets around the world. Among them, the gift in April is mainly for mainland Chinese tourists.

At present, Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Express and Hong Kong Airlines, which are responsible for sending free tickets, have successively introduced specific plans for sending tickets.

Among them, Cathay Pacific plans to send a total of more than 110000 free exit tickets sponsored by the Hong Kong Airport Authority in two stages from April 17 to 30.

Among them, from April 17 to April 23, the first stage of lottery registration from mainland China to Hong Kong, China will be opened. Participants can log on to the designated event page of Cathay Pacific during this time period, submit their personal information (name, email address and telephone number consistent with the travel document), and choose the city of origin to participate in the lottery, that is, they have the opportunity to win a free economy class round-trip ticket from mainland China to Hong Kong.

The 14 optional mainland departure cities include Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Qingdao, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Wenzhou and Haikou.

The second stage will open the lottery registration from Hong Kong, China to overseas from April 24 to April 30. The 26 optional overseas destinations are: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, UAE, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, South Korea, South Africa.

Hong Kong Express will send some tickets through social media Xiaohongshu, Douyin and Weibo from April 24. In August, Hong Kong Express will send more than 20000 Hong Kong outbound tickets to passengers in the Greater Bay Area and the Mainland on a first-come, first-served basis through its official website.

Hong Kong Airlines is a joint Fliggy, where to go, the same journey, Ctrip four OTA (online travel service providers), through the "one price, two people fly" form to send free tickets.

For example, during the period from April 17 to April 20, passengers can search for flights from Shanghai/Beijing/Hangzhou/Nanjing/Haikou to and from Hong Kong on the ticket page of Ctrip APP, and select the ticket price with the words "buy one, get one free" and click to book. The travel date will be from now until October 26 this year (except September 27-October 2), covering the May Day, Dragon Boat Festival holiday and part of the National Day.

Starting from April 21, passengers will be given another free round-trip ticket for the same trip (taxes and fees) when they choose and book a flight with the logo of "buy one get one average price" when booking Hong Kong Airlines' mainland round-trip tickets on the pig App. According to the rules of the event, the round trip booked by consumers must be before 1026, and the departure and return dates must meet the requirement of staying in Hong Kong for 2-7 days.

Since Hong Kong's comprehensive "customs clearance", the demand for mainland tourists to travel to Hong Kong has exploded. According to Fliggy data, the number of air ticket bookings to Hong Kong in the past month has increased by more than 10 times compared with last year. Data from Ctrip's FlightAi Market Insight Platform also show that as of April 14, Ctrip's domestic flight search heat has exceeded 150% in 2019 during the May Day holiday this year, and the cross-border flight search heat has also increased by nearly 40% compared with the same period in 2019. As of April 14, Hong Kong is a hot Top1 destination among the Top10 destinations for outbound air tickets bookings during the May Day holiday this year.
