The Chinese account for the most! The Philippines expelled 1104 Chinese in 2022!

A total of 1339 foreigners who violated immigration laws were deported last year and subsequently blacklisted by the immigration service, Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said.

At the top of the list of expelled foreigners are Chinese with 1104, followed by Koreans with 87.

According to the records of the Migration Board, deported aliens have committed various immigration offences, including overstaying their visas, breaching the conditions of stay and becoming unwelcome aliens.

"The immigration service continues to arrest and deport illegal aliens despite the difficulties brought about by the pandemic attacks and global travel restrictions," Tansinko said."

"We will continue to make persistent efforts to eliminate foreigners who abuse the hospitality of our people and pose a threat to our society," he added."
