Good news! Hong Kong e-visas are extended to all categories and can be processed online.

The Immigration Department announced on November 29 that the electronic visa application service has been extended to all visa application categories with immediate effect, including visa/entry permit applications for tourism, employment, investment, training, residence and study.

The electronic visa application service allows applicants to complete the entire application process through the "Immigration Department Mobile App", the Immigration Department website or the GovHK website, that is, from submitting applications, paying fees to receiving an "e-visa" (www.immd.gov.hk/hkt/e-visa.html), without going to the Immigration Department office in person, thereby reducing crowd gathering and protecting public health.

After the electronic visa application service is extended to all visa application categories, applicants can still choose the existing methods to submit applications and pay fees. Regardless of the submission by any means, the eligibility criteria and fees for the application remain unchanged.
