ecc is the abbreviation of the notaries for immigrants. This document is mainly for foreigners who are about to leave the Philippines to prove that they have no bad records in the Philippines or are responsible for other government agencies. What is ECC-A?

ECC is divided into two types, ECC-A (also called regular ECC) and ECC-B.

Who needs to apply for ECC-A?

The following foreign citizens must ensure that they hold ECC-A before leaving:

1. Holders of temporary tourist visas (also known as tourist visas) who have stayed in the Philippines for six months or more;

2. There are expired or downgraded immigrant or non-immigrant visa holders;

3. Holders with valid immigrant or non-immigrant visas who intend to leave permanently;

4. Foreigners born in the Philippines who left the Philippines for the first time;

5. Temporary visitor visa holders who have been issued with an expulsion order;

6. Stay in the Philippines for 30 days or more and have the official approval of the Immigration Department to issue a good faith seafarer.

Conditions Required for ECC-A

* Fill in the complete application form (you can get it from the Immigration Bureau or download it from the official website)

* 6 white color photos (2 × 2 inches) (the official website of the Immigration Bureau claims that it needs 5 photos, but those who have handled it reflect that they need to bring 6 photos, and bring more photos to be prepared)

* Copy of passport (3 pages: identity information page, last entry stamp page, last valid visa stamp page, copy P2 inside the immigration office, which is more expensive than outside, and often waits in line for a long time. It is recommended to take it with you after copying outside)

* Copy of the front and back of ACR card (yellow card, also known as I card) (must be valid and not expired), and the original should also be brought with you

* A copy of the receipt for the last visa renewal, the original also needs to be brought with you.

* I have to come forward, because I need to cover my fingerprints and take photos. Besides electronic input, my fingerprints are also made of inkpad. If I don't want my fingers to be black, I suggest to bring some wet wipes and napkins.

The validity period of the ECC-A is valid for one month from the date of issue and can only be used once. The ECC-A is a paper certificate, which needs to be taken with you when you leave the country, and the customs will take it away.

When do you need to apply for ECC-A?

Any ECC-A applicant must apply 72 hours before leaving the Philippines, that is, three days before returning to China. ECC-A cannot apply at the airport, friends holding tourist visas must do it well in advance.

Where can I go for ECC-A?

This kind of ECC can be handled at the main building of the Philippine Immigration Bureau, some regional offices, branches of the Immigration Bureau, on-site offices and one-stop service points.

How much is the handling fee?

According to the official information of the Immigration Bureau, the latest ECC-A fee is P1210 (some can be paid on the same day), including P10 legal Research Fee and P500 quick handling fee (Express Fee). P500 will be cheaper if it is not urgent, but it will take 3-5 days to get out.
