Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansinko said in a statement that two South Koreans, one American and one Dutch, are currently being detained at the bureau's detention center at Camp Bagundiva in the city of Tagag pending deportation proceedings.

They were arrested during the operation of the Immigration Department Fugitive Search Team (FSU) in Pampanga, Catan Duanes and Metro Manila from 10 to 18 October.

"They are unwelcome aliens and their continued presence poses a serious threat to the public interest. They are therefore arrested and will be immediately deported as unwelcome aliens."

Kim Won, a 34-year-old South Korean, was arrested on 10 October in Clark, Pampanga province, by an arrest warrant issued by the Seoul Eastern District Court on suspicion of engaging in telecommunications fraud.

Three days after the operation, FSU agents arrested Kim Giro, a 29-year-old South Korean, inside his apartment unit in the city of Taguig. He is wanted by the Daegu District Court on charges of running an online prostitution and human trafficking scheme.

Jan Cornelis Stulman, a 71-year-old Dutch national, was arrested on 14 October in the town of Villac, Catanohexane, on charges of overstaying and allegedly exploiting three Filipino minors.

Meanwhile, Steven Vernon Cross, a 51-year-old American, was arrested on October 18 in his apartment unit in Tulongyasto. He was wanted by the U.S. District Court for wire fraud and money laundering tools.

He was also a convicted sex offender who was sentenced to one year in prison by a court in Kent County, Michigan, for sexually assaulting a child.

They will be blacklisted by the bureau to prevent them from re-entering the Philippines.

The four suspects are part of the 130 foreign fugitives arrested by immigration agents from January to October this year.
