"Nige" landed on Katanduanes Island in the central Philippines in the early morning of October 29, sweeping Luzon from east to west, bringing gusts and heavy rain to most parts of the Philippines, including the capital Manila. "Nig" triggered a series of floods and landslides in the Philippines, causing casualties, disappearances and property losses.

According to the Chinese Consulate General in Davao, after the disaster, the Consulate General, the Davao Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Fujian Chamber of Commerce urgently raised relief supplies. On October 30, the Chinese Consul General in Davao, Li Lin, and the overseas Chinese leaders of the Davao Huashe set off in the early morning and went to the city of Datu Odin Sinsut, which suffered the most losses in Maguindanao Province, to deliver drinking water and food urgently needed by the victims., Daily necessities, disinfection supplies and other materials.

After the disaster, the chairman of Datu Ordin Sinsuat Street, Maguindanao Muslim Autonomous Region, Mindanao, Dalidig sent a letter to the Philippine KCC Commercial Complex Project Department led by China Construction Third Bureau International Company (Overseas Division) for help. The letter hopes that Chinese friends can give a helping hand to help them recover their homes as soon as possible.

After receiving the letter for help, the project department immediately sent 10 staff members to send loaders, excavators and other equipment to the disaster site to help clear roads, dredge floods, open nearly 5 kilometers of water-damaged roads, and help more than 20 affected households. Residents transferred their property and ensured the smooth flow of local disaster relief channels. Dalidig said that the help of Chinese enterprises is a precious gift sent at a critical moment in the Philippines.
