Passengers who have not been vaccinated can also enter the Philippines!

On November 2, local time, the Presidential Palace of the Philippines has approved the proposal of the Inter-Agency Epidemic Prevention Working Group (IATF) to further relax the quarantine agreement for passengers entering the Philippines and allow passengers who have not yet been vaccinated against the new crown to enter the country.

According to Resolution 2, the Philippine government will no longer require negative pre-departure new crown test reports for inbound passengers who have been fully vaccinated or have completed two doses of primary series vaccination, whether Filipinos or foreign citizens, provided that the following conditions are met:

· The last shot of two doses of vaccination should be 14 days or more.

Vaccination certificates approved by the Philippine government must be provided, including the International Vaccination Certificate (ICV) of the World Health Organization, the Philippine electronic vaccine certificate VaxCertPH or the foreign vaccine certificate recognized by the Philippine government.

At the same time, for passengers who have not been vaccinated, have not been fully vaccinated, or whose vaccination certificate cannot be confirmed, the following provisions should be followed:

Filipinos and foreign citizens over the age of 15 should present negative results of the new coronary rapid antigen test monitored remotely or taken by medical professionals from medical institutions, laboratories, clinics, pharmacies or other similar institutions within 24 hours before departure.

If the above requirements cannot be met, they should be required to accept and certify the negative results of the new coronary rapid antigen test conducted by medical professionals from medical institutions, laboratories, clinics, pharmacies or other similar institutions upon arrival at the airport.

· Accompanying minors under the age of 15 who have not been vaccinated for any reason shall comply with the quarantine regulations of their parents or accompanying adults/guardians.

:: Unaccompanied minors under the age of 15 who are not vaccinated for any reason shall follow the procedures set out in Articles 1 and 2 above.

The resolution states that those who have tested positive for the rapid antigen of the new crown should accept the latest current epidemic prevention agreement from the Ministry of Health.

the quarantine bureau, in coordination with the ministry of health and other agencies, will identify other acceptable vaccination certificates to avoid confusion and inconvenience among inbound travellers and facilitate the dissemination of public information.

Earlier, Philippine President Ma Xiaocos signed Executive Order No. 7, no longer forcing the public to wear masks in indoor and outdoor places, except for medical facilities and public transportation. This development marks the country's gradual progress towards the "normalization" of life since March 2020. This is also the first time that the public can take off masks in indoor places.
