Many people have been stranded at Manila's North Port Terminal for 5 days and will be stranded for another 3 days!

According to Philippine media reports, on November 1, passengers expected to go to Bacolod have been stranded at the port terminal of Manila North Port for five days.

It is reported that 2Go Shipping Company has arranged a scheduled trip for them on November 4, because the trip for November 1 is fully booked. Their trip, scheduled for 28 October, was canceled due to the impact of Typhoon Bagh.

Most of them are frustrated by this unfortunate incident because they have only brought enough money to save them back and forth, and some of them have no money to buy food. They received food parcels and assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Philippine Red Cross and other church groups, but this lasted only a few days.

They claimed that some personnel checked their tickets a few days ago and said they would re-book them, but 2Go has not yet contacted them.

Carlito Canos, one of the stranded passengers, said that being stranded for several days now took a toll on his finances because he was going to support his family, with a newborn baby and four other children.

"They should support food because we are trapped. What is happening now is that we are still behind. Then our car and boat have left, and my five children all live on me."

Passengers are also complaining because shipping lines have prioritized other passengers for the scheduled trip on November 1, rather than those stranded since October 28.

Passenger Angela Uy said shipping lines should be concerned about their status first, as most people can't wait until their trip on November 4.

"Shouldn't priority be given to those trapped? We should also be the first to board the plane because we have been here for a few days."
