A: Yes! The processing fee is mainly for the official fees and charges incurred when applying for SEC13, there are no other fees besides the processing price quoted by the customer service.

Q: Can I bring my family members?

A: Yes, you can bring your spouse and 2 unmarried children under 21 years old.

Q: How long is the visa valid for?

A: SEC13 is a permanent green card for Chinese Filipinos, which is valid only once every 5 years for renewal of the INS I-card (permanent, never overstaying status).

Q: What are the requirements for Chinese candidates and one of their parents to reside in their country of residence?

A: Candidates and their parents are counted separately and both must meet the residency requirements in their country of residence. The calculation method is as follows.

1、The candidate's own residence time meets one of the following conditions.

① Obtain long-term or permanent residency in the country of residence, and stay in the country of residence for at least 540 days in two consecutive natural years (i.e., from January 1 of one year to December 31 of the following year) and within two years before the application (i.e., from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2022).

② Obtain legal residence status in the country of residence for five consecutive years, for five consecutive natural years (i.e., from January 1 of a certain year to December 31 of the fifth year, e.g.

January 1, 2017 - December 31, 2021) and the actual cumulative stay in the country of residence for not less than 900 days in each of the five years prior to registration (i.e., April 1, 2017 - March 31, 2022).

2. The length of residence of one parent is one of the following.

① Obtain long-term or permanent residency in the country of residence, and actually stay in the country of residence for at least 540 days in two consecutive natural years (i.e. from January 1 of one year to December 31 of the following year).

② Obtain legal residence status in the country of residence for five consecutive years, for five consecutive natural years (i.e. from January 1 of a certain year to December 31 of the fifth year, e.g.

January 1, 2017-December 31, 2021) in the country of residence for at least 900 days in total.

Q: Can a candidate apply for the national joint entrance examination if only he or she has Chinese nationality and neither of his or her parents has Chinese nationality (including parents who are foreigners or persons from Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan)?

A: No, you cannot. An overseas Chinese candidate and one of his or her parents must be Chinese to apply for the JUPAS.
