Boracay again named Asia's best island

According to Philippine media reports, on October 5, the Philippine Ministry of Tourism announced that in the recent "Condas Traveler" Reader's Choice Award, the original Boracay was named the best island in Asia.

Christina Garcia Frasco, Minister of Tourism, this is the key consecutive award in the Condas Traveler Award in 2022.

Except for Boracay, the Ministry of Tourism stated that Palawan Island won the 8th place.

Meanwhile, the Philippines ranks 30th in the ranking of the world's top tourist destinations.

Garcia said, "We are very grateful for these international awards awarded to the Philippines based on the views and experience of tourists from around the world. As we usher in a new post-epidemic tourism era, our focus is to continue to build confidence in Philippine tourism, ensure improved accessibility, prioritize tourism safety and convenience, and encourage sustainable tourism practices."

Palawan Island scored 88.99 points and, like Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Japan, is a popular tourist destination on the Condas Travelers Asia list.

Garcia explained: "With the relaxation of mask regulations in the Philippines and our continuous efforts to review and recalibrate the existing health and safety procedures in the Philippines, taking into account the current epidemic situation and using the best practices of ASEAN countries as a benchmark, Our tourists can now enjoy more of our natural tourist attractions such as Boracay Island and Barra Bay Island, which are all over the archipelago, while ensuring their health remains our top priority.
