[Philippines] Announces May 9 as National Statutory Holiday-Voting Day

On May 5, it was reported that the Philippine Department of Labor, at the request of the Election Commission, announced that May 9 (polling day for the general election) would be a statutory holiday, so that the people of the Philippines would actively participate in the "voting".

The Philippine Labor Law Holiday stipulates that if an employee is required to work on a statutory holiday, the employer will pay the employee the 130% salary.
