Seventy-three Filipinos stranded in Cambodia were chartered back home, and the Philippines has carried out 14 repatriation activities.

On October 5, the Philippines repatriated 73 Filipinos trapped in Cambodia.

The Philippine Ministry of Foreign Affairs said yesterday that among the Filipinos from Cambodia, there is a baby, two minors and five elderly people.

Since the start of the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, these nationals have either lost their jobs or have been trapped in Cambodia.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic in March 2020, the Philippine Embassy in Cambodia has assisted in the repatriation of 1110 Filipinos who were in trouble overseas.

This is the 14th repatriation activity carried out by the embassy since 2020 and the fourth repatriation flight arranged in 2021.
