Under what circumstances should the Philippines handle ECC?

1. Who needs to apply for ECC?

There are two types of ECC, ECC -A (also known as regular ECC) and ECC-B.

The following foreigners must obtain ECC-A before leaving the country:

a. Holders of temporary visit visas (also known as tourist visas) who have remained in the Philippines for more than six months;

B. Expired or downgraded immigrant or non-immigrant visa holders;

c. Holding a valid immigrant or non-immigrant visa for normal departure;

d. First departure of Filipino-born foreigners from the Philippines;

e. Temporary visitor visa holders who are required to leave the country;

f. Seafarers who have stayed in the Philippines for 30 days or more and have been duly approved by the Immigration Department.

Immigrant and non-immigrant visa holders with valid ACR I-Card need to apply for ECC-B for temporary departure.

2. When to apply for ECC?

Foreigners apply for ECC at least one week before departure

3. Is ECC valid? Can I use it many times?

ECC is valid for one month from the date of application, but regardless of its validity, you can only use it once.
