According to Philippine media, on November 10, the Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Commission (NDRRMC) stated that thousands of people in Davao City fled their homes due to floods caused by easterly winds and local thunderstorms.

According to the report, the heavy rain continued from November 8 to November 9, causing 1251 people in 399 households in Davao City to be evacuated.

It is reported that five cages were flooded, including Catalunan Pequeño (Catalonia), Matina Crossing (Matina Crossing), Matina Beach (Matina Alaya), Dumoy (Dumoy) and Baliok (Baliok).

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) says at least 28 people have been rescued from two blisters due to chest-deep flooding.

Major General Armand Barillo, spokesman for the Philippine Coast Guard, said: "The victims of the flood incident were then handed over to the appropriate agencies for debriefing and appropriate medical assessment."

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said easterly winds or warm winds from the Pacific bring wet weather and localized thunderstorms that could affect parts of the country, causing flash floods and landslides.
