Reminder! Philippines eTravel entry and exit QR code without payment

Filipino immigrantsThe Bureau reminds inbound and outbound travellers to pay attention to official eTravel websites and actively report false websites demanding service fees to the authorities.

Dana Sandoval, a spokesman for the Philippine Immigration Bureau, said: "We have received different complaints through social media channels, but we also call on the public to report the above to the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center (CICC) at cicc.gov.ph/report."

The spokesman stressed that the application for eTravel entry and exit QR code is completely free, regardless of whether the applicant is a Filipino or a foreign citizen. Any site that charges a fee to register for a eTravel QR code is a fake.

The Department of Immigration introduced an electronic travel system during the New Crown epidemic to reduce the need for paper for inbound and outbound passengers.

eTravel platform is a cross-agency project with the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Quarantine Bureau, the Customs Bureau, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Justice and the National Privacy Commission.
