What are the requirements for fingerprint entry in Slovenia

From 12 October 2015, all visa applicants will be required to provide biometric data-ten fingerprints and a digital photograph-when applying for a Schengen visa.

Biometric data will be recorded in the database of the visa information system for the exchange of visa information among Schengen countries. The main purpose is to simplify the visa application process, strengthen the EU's external border checks, and improve the security level.

Since October 12, 2015, applicants for a first-time Schengen visa must submit their application in person at the Slovenian visa center to submit their biometric data. Visa applications for the next 59 months will not be fingerprinted again.

Applicants can submit visa applications through certified travel agencies, but for the first application within 59 months, applicants will go to the visa application center to collect fingerprints. For children under 12 years old and applicants whose physical conditions do not allow fingerprint entry, they can be exempted from fingerprint entry.
