According to Philippine media, on September 20, the Ministry of Labor and Employment of the Philippine National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) stated that it has adopted an appointment system to issue foreign employment permits (AEP).

DOLE-NCR Director Sarah Buena Mirasol: "In order to provide Alien Employment Permit (AEP) issuance services and to continuously improve the process, please note that the issuance of approved AEPs will take place through a regular pickup. Once the card is printed, the customer will receive the scheduled pickup time."

Mirasol said AEP can be picked up through an authorized representative or courier service. Foreigners are advised to immediately contact the AEP release team via tsscepww.release@gmail.com or 09666526442 if there is any conflict with the schedule.

At the same time, Mirasol said that if the customer has a legitimate reason to urgently request the release of AEP, we will meet it.

"In the case of an urgent request for the issuance of an AEP for legitimate reasons such as an expired 9(g) visa or a foreigner who will be on a business trip, once the request is made in advance, it may be considered, subject to confirmation of the timetable of the Issuing Section."

Mirassol said AEP clients have until October 31 to submit quarterly AEP reports in accordance with article 25 of departmental decree 221-21 or the revised rules and regulations on the issuance of employment permits for foreigners.

The AEP is a document authorizing a foreigner to work in the country.
