Philippine Airlines (PAL) consolidates bookings into one platform

The flagship airline, Philippine Airlines (PAL), consolidates all of its travel services into one channel to help customers easily plan their trips.

Philippine Airlines announced in an announcement that it has launched an all-in-one travel website called PAL Holidays, powered by Expedia Group, to provide customers with a platform where they can find all their travel needs.

The airline said the new website is now available in the Philippines, Australia, Canada and the United States.

Bud Britanico, vice president of sales for Philippine Airlines, said the PAL Holidays was made through a white-label template provided by Expedia Group. White label templates enable companies to consolidate their travel services under one roof for ease of booking.

For Philippine Airlines, this means that passengers can plan the entire trip at once.

Britanico Bud said PAL Holidays allows travelers to book flights, accommodation, activities and transportation.

"By partnering with Expedia, we believe our customers will enjoy unparalleled hotel, experience and transportation deals that can be used with their booked Philippine Airlines flights," Britanico Bud said."

Specifically, PAL Holidays offers travellers a choice of accommodation in more than 900,000 of the Expedia Group's hotels worldwide.

Expedia Group is a Washington-based booking platform. As one of the biggest players in the travel industry, it offers everything from hotel accommodations to vehicle rentals, operating brands such as Expedia.com and Hotels.com.

On the other hand, Philippine Airlines is increasing its spending to expand its business after restructuring during the worst of the epidemic.

In August, Stanley Ng, president and chief operating officer, said the airline would make new investments in fleet and service upgrades.

The airline pledged to increase spending on fleet expansion and service improvements after its parent company PAL Holdings Inc.'s first-quarter net profit quadrupled to 10.89 billion pesos.
