The South Korean Embassy has nine embassies and consulates in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Xi'an, Qingdao, Shenyang and Dalian, which are divided into nine consular areas according to the domicile of the applicant, and also set up five visa centers in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan and Qingdao. As a result, there are two application processes for submitting materials according to different consular areas.

The first South Korean visa processing process is that there is no application center, only embassies and consulates are set up, and individuals are not allowed to submit them. They can only prepare relevant materials and find local travel agencies with agency qualifications to submit them on their behalf. They do not need to go to the embassy and receive passports directly by mail. The whole process is more convenient, but they only need to pay part of the expenses.

The second application process is to set up an application center and embassies and consulates, allowing individuals to submit. Applicants can choose to entrust an agency to submit or go to the application center to submit materials in person. They can choose to apply according to their own consular district. If they want to submit across consular districts, they can provide valid residence certificates.

Therefore, the process of submitting materials for Korean visas handled in different territorial areas is different. There are altogether two ways to judge which submission method you can use according to whether there is an application center in your territorial area.
