Philippine e-visa system operation tutorial

On August 24, local time, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) began the trial operation of the electronic visa (e-Visa) system, which will initially focus on the Chinese and Indian markets.

Philippine authorities have repeatedly reminded users to submit electronic visa applications only on the official website to avoid being deceived.

After entering the official website, the page first requests the applicant to fill in the nationality, and the Chinese can choose China.

A prompt will appear after submission, roughly meaning: "Currently, this online portal only accepts 9(a) temporary visitor visa applications.

The portal is only used for the initial submission of visa applications. Submitting an application form through this portal does not mean that your visa is pending. After submitting your application through this portal, please contact the relevant embassy or consulate to find out how to formally submit your application. Before you continue, make sure you have access to a printer, scanner, and/or camera. You will be asked to print, sign and upload the application form, photo of your ID card and a copy of your passport to complete the application."

After completion, the main page shows various Philippine visa and related document requirements, but the e-visa platform currently only accepts 9A tourist visas.

When entering the preliminary page, you will choose to visit the Philippines, mainly for Business business or Leisure tourism. The number of visas can be selected as single, multiple round trips in three months or multiple round trips in six months. Finally, you will choose the embassy or consulate to submit. According to previous reports, the cost of a single visa is US $25 and multiple fees are US $60, but the above fees have not been confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
