Russia to launch e-visa on August 1

On the 19th local time, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed support for Russia's introduction of e-visas at a meeting with government members, which is planned to be implemented from August 1, 2023.

Previously, the Russian side has repeatedly said that it will implement an electronic signature policy.

Last month, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development stated that from mid-July, Russia will restart the entry electronic visa service for foreign citizens. Russia will issue visas to citizens of 52 countries, including China. The e-visa will be issued within 4 days and costs $40. It will be available to individual visitors to Russia.
