On July 12, the Philippine Immigration Bureau launched a new e-service, which has taken an important step in enhancing the travel experience of local and foreign tourists.

Norman Tancinko, director of the Philippine Immigration Bureau, said that the digital platform aims to simplify the immigration process. Through the use of electronic services, passengers can now easily and safely complete immigration applications online from start to finish.

The newly launched e-service caters to a range of application types, and individuals applying for exemption under the RA 9225 from grounds for exclusion of entry for unaccompanied minors, proof of immigration clearance or dual citizenship can now submit their applications online.

In addition, the e-service platform also covers visa waiver requests and tourist visa extensions. Tourist visa extensions, also known as temporary visitor visa extensions, are one of the most common transactions handled by the Immigration Department for foreign visitors who wish to extend their stay in the country.

The Philippine Department of Tourism recently launched a new slogan for the country, and the Immigration Department is determined to make it easier for everyone to embrace the beauty of the Philippines.

The head of the Philippine Immigration Service said: "Our e-service enables tourists to easily meet their immigration requirements, whether they are at home, in a hotel or even relaxing on the beach. This initiative will undoubtedly contribute to the growth of tourism, which is a top priority of the President."
