What you need to know when applying for a Turkish tourist visa

Chinese citizens with Turkish diplomatic, official and official passports can enter without a visa and stay for no more than 30 days. The Turkish side should stamp the visa-free stamp at the port of entry to determine the time of entry. If necessary, you can also apply for a 90-day extension of the Turkish deadline.

Turkish visas are divided into two categories:

One is the entry visa: the validity of a single-entry visa is three months, the holder can enter Turkey within three months, and the validity of a multiple-entry visa within one year is one year, and the holder can enter Turkey multiple times, each time Stay for one month. A business visa can also be applied for a multiple-entry visa.

The other is a transit visa, which is valid for three months and allows visa holders to transit through other countries from Turkey.

Turkish e-Visa holders must also hold a valid Schengen or OECD visa. If the countries listed above are single entry visas, then you must enter before entering the country, otherwise Turkey will refuse you entry.

Visas for both the applicant country and the OECD member countries must be sticker visas. Currently, the Turkish Border Inspectorate does not recognize e-visas from the above-mentioned countries. Before going to Turkey, make sure you have obtained a visa from the country concerned. When entering Turkey, the holder of the visa presents a printed copy, otherwise you will be refused entry.

Before traveling to Turkey to study or work, you must apply for the relevant visa.

Student visas and work visas for university teachers allow them to enter Turkey and apply for a residence permit. Study visa holders must apply for a residence permit from a foreign member of the local security service within 30 days of arrival in Turkey.

After obtaining a Turkish residence permit, the person can enter the territory several times during the validity period of the residence permit without having to apply for a Turkish entry visa again. If the residence permit needs to be extended, it should be extended or renewed before its expiration. If the residence permit expires or expires, the period of the residence permit needs to be extended before leaving.
