Philippines launches eGov PH App! You can register SIM, get travel information and more!

The Philippines' Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has launched the eGov PH "Super App", which aims to streamline all government transactions and facilitate the digitization process in the bureaucracy of the Little Marcos government.

The "super app" is part of the e-Gov PH system launched in December last year. The public can access government services and online information at the local and national levels through apps.

Little Marcos and Ivan John Uy, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, carried out the launch of the mobile application at the presidential palace.

In his speech, Little Marcos said that digitization is "not an option" because it is something that must be done. He said the Philippines is "falling behind" in digitalization.

The e-GovPH Super App is seen as a one-stop platform for local and national government services and can be downloaded on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Transactions that can be completed in the app include SIM registration, local government unit services, job applications, travel information, start-up authorization, medical information and feedback.

After downloading the App, real-name authentication and face recognition are required. After the initial verification process, the eGov digital ID with the corresponding QR code will be provided.

However, relevant personnel said that not all government agencies are associated with the App, and they are working hard.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology said that Marcos Jr.'s approval in April to create a single operating system to simplify government transactions at the national and local levels has helped strengthen the plan.
