According to Philippine media reports, on June 1, Cathay Pacific and Xiamen Airlines plan to resume direct flights between Hong Kong and Jinjiang to and from Davao International Airport in the second half of this year.

According to the report, the above-mentioned routes have been grounded for more than three years due to the new crown outbreak. Before the epidemic, Cathay Pacific had five direct flights a week to and from Davao and Hong Kong, and Xiamen Airlines had two direct flights a week to and from Davao and Jinjiang.

It is reported that the Philippine government plans to set up a new airport in Davao that can accommodate more flights and passengers, including the cities of Tagum, Panabo, Davao, Samar Island Garden City and West Davao.
