Manila International Airport Terminal 2 Renovation Completed

Terminal 2 of the Nino Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in the Philippines was remodeled with works by Filipino craftsmen and local materials.

The Ministry of Tourism announced the new look of the terminal on social media, including locally made furniture, such as rattan chairs, solihiya (rattan woven) panels, and added tropical plants, giving the aesthetic "unique Philippine brand".

The terminal also has a tourist information center, a rest area with a mini garden, a new charging station, a comfortable waiting area, trees and plant walls.

The new look has provoked mixed reactions online, with some praising the terminal's look and others saying it does not address the systemic and distressing issues passengers face every day.

"It would be better if you took out stolen corrupt immigration officials and staff," one wrote.

As part of the Manila International Airport Authority's Schedule and Terminal Allocation Rationalization (STAR) program, Terminal 2, which has been dedicated to serving all domestic and international flights of Philippine Airlines for many years, will be reallocated as a nationwide terminal from April 16.
