From May 1, the Philippine Immigration Bureau (BI) will stop using paper departure cards.

Philippine immigration chiefs announced Friday that they will expand the government's eTravel system to reduce requirements for departing travelers starting April 15. eTravel platforms will soon be used for arriving and departing passengers. Passengers no longer need to fill out an exit card, but can log into an online check-in system before their flight.

"Departing passengers can log on to the platform (website: https://etravel.gov.ph/) from 72 hours to no later than 3 hours after the scheduled flight time," the Immigration Bureau said in a statement."

eTravel is a platform originally launched in December 2021 to coordinate government data collection processes. Starting May 1, paper registrations will become obsolete at Philippine airports or on local and international travel.
