The Philippines will be fully converted to electronic entry and exit cards from next month.

From May 1, 2023, the Philippine Immigration Bureau will fully convert to electronic entry and exit cards, and passengers will no longer need to fill in paper cards.

"Passengers will no longer need to fill out an entry and exit card, but will be able to log in to the eTravel online portal before their flight," said Norman Tansingco, director of the Bureau of Immigration (BI)."

Dennis Javier, chairman of the eTravel technical working group, said that starting from April 15, passengers can log on to the eTravel platform to fill out the electronic exit card within 72 hours to 3 hours before the flight.

"This is an important step in streamlining the passenger departure experience, allowing for faster and more efficient immigration processing," he said."
