Singapore visa application process and processing time limit for China

From March 15, China will allow foreigners to apply for various types of visas to China, and resume the entry function of visas issued before March 28, 2020 and still valid. At the same time, China will resume the visa-free entry policies for Hainan, Shanghai cruise ships, foreigners from Hong Kong and Macao to enter Guangdong, and Asian tourist groups to enter Guilin, Guangxi.

However, the visa-free treatment for Singaporeans in China has not been restored. Therefore, if Singaporean citizens want to travel to China to visit relatives, they must apply online in advance and then arrange an appointment time at the China Visa Center on Luo Minshen Road.

The Consular Office of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore posted a notice to remind the public that the Chinese Embassy in Singapore does not directly accept visa applications from ordinary passport holders. Holders of ordinary passports apply for a Chinese visa at the China Visa Application Service Center.

If the (II) Embassy deems it necessary, it may request the applicant to go to the Embassy for an interview.

(III) Embassy does not accept visa applications by other means (such as mail, fax, online).

(IV) unless otherwise notified by the embassy, the applicant or agent can go to the visa application service center to collect the completed visa at the earliest time indicated on the evidence form. No postal visa service is available.

Once approved, the (V) visa application is irrevocable. The applicant is required to pay the relevant fees.

Time for filling in forms online and making appointments to send signatures and take fingerprints

Visa applicants must enter the online form filling page and fill in the visa application form online by logging on the https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn website.

After completing the online form, you can directly enter the visa reservation interface through the "Go to Appointment" link, or you can log on to the https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn website afterwards, enter your personal information and the application number of the visa application form, and make an appointment for the visa processing time.

Applicants are required to download and print the application form (full form) and sign on the confirmation page. I will submit the application materials to the China Visa Application Service Center at the scheduled time and collect my fingerprints.

The following visa applicants can be exempted from fingerprint collection:

(I) persons under 14 years of age or over 70 years of age;

(II) holders of diplomatic passports or those who meet the requirements for examination and issuance of diplomatic, official and courteous visas;

(III) person who holds the same passport to apply for a visa at the Chinese Embassy in Singapore or the China Visa Application Service Center within five years and has kept his fingerprints;

(IV) ten-finger fingers are incomplete or ten-finger fingerprints cannot be retained.

The Chinese Embassy in Singapore reminded that the applicant must go to the fingerprint in person. If it is found that another person impersonates the applicant to take the fingerprint, the person concerned will be refused entry into China and bear the corresponding consequences.
