Philippine police added "customs clearance counters" in SM and Citymalls "!

According to Philippine media reports, on March 13, Philippine National Police Chief Azurin Jr (Rodolfo Azurin Jr) said that individuals can now apply for and obtain police permission at SM stores and Citymalls stores across the country.

The PNP will open more offices to give the public easy access to a criminal record-free, often a requirement for job applications and other government and private transactions.

In order to expand the PNP office of the national police clearance system, Azulin signed a memorandum of agreement on 13 March.

"In this way, our national police customs clearance system will also be available at SM shopping centers and more national police customs clearance stations in Citymalls to provide police services to the public at the most convenient time and place."

Azulin said the agreement was in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s instructions to find ways to facilitate the government's dealings with the public.

The national police clearance system is one of the PNP's revenue-generating mechanisms.
