Philippine Immigration Bureau Admits System Failure Delayed to 3/2 on Last Day of Perennial Report

On February 28, local time, the Philippine Immigration Bureau (BI) issued a notice admitting that a technical failure occurred in its alien registration system on February 27, resulting in hundreds of foreigners unable to complete the annual registration on that day.

The Immigration Department thanked the aliens for their patience and promised to solve the technical problems, promising to further improve the system for the convenience of the public.

Due to this technical problem, the Immigration Bureau postponed the final date of annual registration to March 2, but foreigners who apply for annual registration after that date will face a fine of 200 pesos per month.

In addition, the year-round check-in venue at Robinson's Place Manila will run until March 1, while the year-round check-in venue at SM Mall of Asia will run until March 17.

In addition to the above two places, other offices of the Philippine Immigration Bureau can accept foreign nationals to report for duty all the year round.
