Maximum 10000 P fine! Details of Unified Traffic Ticket System in Metro Manila Announced

The Philippines may start implementing a new standardized traffic ticket in the capital region in April. Drivers who make mistakes in Metro Manila will be fined up to P 10,000.

Car drivers can be fined up to P 5,000 for not using child seats

Motorcyclists can be fined up to P 10,000 for child safety violations.

Traffic fines or penalties in Metro Manila will be uniform under the new plan, which still enforces existing traffic rules and regulations, including special laws.

Other violations of special laws

No matter how many times the driver fouls, the concentrated fine for not wearing a seat belt is P 1,000.

For motorcycle riders who do not wear helmets, the fines for the first, second and third violations are P 1,500, P 3,000 and P 5,000 respectively, and the subsequent violation fines are P 10,000.

Motorcyclists who wear helmets without import clearance or ICC markings will also be fined P 3,000 for the first violation and subsequently P 5,000.

According to the Metro Manila Commissioner, the Metro Manila Code extends to a single traffic ticket system that will allow violators to resolve their penalties remotely and online.
